Your Existence Makes the World Better

February 19, 2020 Favorite Things, Paper Crafting

Yes it does! Hello again. Today I have the sweetest cards to share using a stamp set I’m completely in love with! I had the opportunity to meet the artist of this particular stamp and she is the greatest, too. You know how when you meet someone and you can just tell they are going to be a friend? Well, that’s how I feel about her.

When I saw this stamp I knew immediately what I wanted to create. First, a watercolor card. Then, a red/pink shaker card! So here’s what I made:

One watercolor, and one shaker card!

I’m loving these cards! I can already think of many, many people who I can send one of these to. Guess I need to make a few more cards with this one, right?!

I created a video to show you some tricks for pulling these cards together. Watch it below or on YouTube:

The first card is created using Zig clean color real brush markers. I used Bristol paper for this one because it seems to allow the watercolor to blend a little better. I can keep adding color and blending to add some darker areas, too. For some areas I used a waterbrush along with the Zigs, and for some I colored the Zigs on straight.

For the background on this one, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in matching colors. It really makes the panel pop, doesn’t it?!

I think these colors are so happy. I used a rectangle pierced die to cut out the panel before adding it to the background with fun foam.

The second card is colored with only pink and red Prismacolor pencils. I’m pretty sure I was inspired by Valentine’s day!

I cut the heart out on the center heart to create a shaker element to this card. And of course I had to add some glittery Stickles to all the lands in this world. That’s probably how my world would be, lol.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards, so I’ve made a list here using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! This stamp set is brand new from Trinity stamps, so be sure to head over to get one for yourself before they are all gone!

Thanks for stopping by! Your Existence Makes this World Better! (and a big thanks to Dani for creating this perfect stamp…I love it). See you soon!

Happily Ever After…

February 16, 2020 Paper Crafting

Hello, I’m so excited to share these Happily Ever After cards with you. I used the Fairy’s Garden paper pack and the Sunny Studios Enchanted stamp set today from Scrapping For Less.

For my first card I created a castle home for the princess and her prince. I first ink blended a soft blue and green ink onto the background. I colored up the images with Copic markers. Then I added some clouds with a pink lining from the paper pack.

I think pink clouds are so dreamy! When they say every cloud has a silver lining, pink lined clouds are one step above that! Lol. I stamped the Happily Ever After sentiment on one of the clouds.

I added the images with 3M foam tape. That cobble stone walkway is made with Nuvo Stone Drops. These are so dimensional and dry with a matte finish to look like stones!

This stamp set is so inspiring, I couldn’t resist featuring that cute little frog in the stamp set for ONE MORE card! I chose one of my favorite papers from the Fairy’s Garden paper pack for the background. Then I added the frog and the Knight in Shining Armor to a circle die cut.

I added some solid paper stripes to the left side of the card, and stamped the sentiment “You’re So Charming” onto one of the blue paper strips.

How many frogs have YOU had to kiss to find your Knight?!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today. They were so much fun to create! Thanks for stopping by!

You Are Loved

February 13, 2020 Holidays, Paper Crafting, Valentines

Hello! I have some cards to share in different colors today. I recently took the Altenew Course called “In The Mood For Color” and it was so interesting. She talked about the different feelings we get from color and how it changes the whole feeling of a card.

So today, I made two of the same card in different colors. First, I chose red/pink for Valentines Day! This color evokes love, passion and energy.

The Second color I chose was blue/green. Blue evokes tranquility and green is soothing & natural feeling. These are some of my favorites and I couldn’t resist pairing them together.

To start, I inked up the backgrounds with Distress Oxides and other hybrid inks. Then I stamped on the Leaves with a similar color. I added the dots with glitter embossing powder for more of a subtle sparkle for these cards.

I cut the sentiment with mirror cardstock as well as some hearts. The sentiment is also backed with a black shadow.

Can you tell the different feelings you get from each card? The pink card definitely has more energy, while the blue/green is more calming.

Below you can see more of the shiny mirror cardstock on the sentiment:

I hope you enjoyed a look at my different color cards and hearing about the feelings color gives to a card! Thanks for stopping by!
