OCC Day 1: Heat Embossing Faux Ceramic Tiles

February 2, 2015 Paper Crafting

It’s the first day of Online Card Classes Clean and Simple 4! I love these classes. So much creativity. Today I wanted to try the technique taught by the talented Julie Ebersole — how to make Faux Ceramic tiles with heat embossing.

Here’s my take:

Since it’s a little rainy today, I was inspired to use an umbrella die cut for this one. Then I inked it up with some distress inks and let it dry completely. Then I coated it with Versamark ink and covered the entire tile with clear embossing powder. What a neat effect!

Great first day of class!

May your days be filled with sunshine,

Hi Kari, I like your bright-color-tile. Cool idea to use an umbrella.
Good job on the OCC-CAS-4 Day1#3 -lesson.

The last 12 days (during class-time) I didn’t find enough time to visit all the amazing OCC-participant-blogs – but now I will catch up. Better late than never! 🙂
