Sunshine in my pocket

Mosaic Turnabout and Fabulous Phrases Dies with Concord & 9th

March 2, 2018 Paper Crafting

It’s a beautiful week with these awesome Concord & 9th sets. Today I’m featuring the Mosaic Turnabout stamp set and the Fabulous Phrases Dies.

I had so much fun creating with these…and I absolutely love the font of these Fabulous Phrases Dies. For my first card, I used some beautiful blues and greens (with some yellow thrown in for fun):

The Mosaic Turnabout it so much fun to use! You just ink it up in one color, stamp it, then turn your paper and do it all over again (up to 4 times total). You can use any colors you like and make such a fun background.

I built up the silver embossing powder three times on the “thinking of you” phrase to get that metal accent look. A little glitter tape in a matching color and that’s all it takes to make a beautiful and fun card!

About this time, I thought that the turnabout set would be fun embossed in different metallic colors!

I used gold, silver, and liquid platinum embossing powder, turning the paper only three times and leaving a few blank spots. This one is for my parent’s FIFTIETH wedding anniversary! I colored up the cake with Copics and added it to the center with foam tape. That beautiful cake is from an earlier set, found here.

Now, you know I had to make a SUNSHINE card…and here I used orange and yellow inks and partially embossed them with gold to give it a shiny flair.

Then I masked off portions of the card front to create those “sun rays.” This “hey there” sentiment is one of my favorites!! I added a black shadow to the sentiment, some glittery Wink of Stella pen, and a bit of Glossy Accents on top. A few Jewel Nuvo Drops finish off the card. I wish you could see the glitter on this card!

The last card I have to show you today turned out different than I planned….but I love how it turned out!

Have you ever had a happy mistake on your card? I originally embossed the lower half of the card in white, then inked on some blue Distress Ink. When I went to clean off the heat-set embossing powder a little, I used a dry baby wipe that had some green ink on it and SMEARED that green ink all over! But look at that color variation it gave me on the bottom half of the card! And yes, I got it all over the clean white top half, too.

I didn’t give up…I cut off the bottom portion. Then I found an ink swatch (that I used to test colors) with the green, blue, and purples on my desk and thought it would pair nicely with my *MISTAKE.*

The circle die is from the Everyday Circles Die set, and the “Fabulous Friend” and hearts are from the Fabulous Phrases Dies. The “For A” sentiment is from the Wonderful Florals Stamp Set that was also released this month. Isn’t that sentiment lovely?! And Voila! Saved it!

These Concord & 9th sets are wonderful, and they make it easy to create beautiful cards everytime! Check out their Mosaic bundle here to save money.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! Thank you so much for stopping by.

May your days be filled with sunshine,
